The shipping company Porsberg ehf receives a new 30-ton Cleopatra 40BB boat
The shipping company Þórsberg ehf on Tálknafjörður recently received a new covered Cleopatra 40BB bait boat. Þórsberg's managing director is Guðjón Indriðason.
The interior was designed in collaboration with Ráðgarð ehf.
The new boat is called Indriði Kristins BA 751. The boat is 12.5 meters long, 6.5 meters wide and measures 30 gross tons. The boat replaces an older boat with the same name.
The captains of the boat are Magnús and Indriði Guðjónsson.
The boat's main engine is a Doosan 4V158TI 600hp (15L) connected to a ZF W350 gear.
There are two light generators in the boat, type Doosan 96kW with a 50kW generator.
The boat is equipped with navigation equipment of the type from Sónar ehf.
The boat is also equipped with front and rear hydraulically operated side thrusters connected to the boat's autopilot.
The boat is equipped for line fishing. Bait machine, rack system and line card is from Mustad in Norway.
Equipment on deck is from Lavango and Stálorka.
The ice machine and pre-cooler are from Kæling ehf.
The landing crane is of the type TMP from Ásafli ehf.
Lifeboats and other boat safety equipment comes from Viking.
There is an anti-roll bar in the boat.
There is room for up to 54 460-liter containers on a train. The middle deck is closed with a separate tow compartment. The boat has a heated storage room for 8 people. Large dining room. Toilet/shower. Washer and dryer. There is sleeping space for eight in hatches in 4 separate cabins.
A fully equipped kitchen is on board with all the necessary equipment. Such as stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator.
The boat is prepared for longer outdoor trips if needed and the equipment on board for the crew is in line with that.
